How I Pose Curvy Women

I know being in front of the camera is intimidating. The thought of showing your most vulnerable side can be nerve-racking and will definetly make you more aware of any insecurities you may have. But I also know a boudoir photo can be a liberating experience that has the potential to completely change the way you see yourself in a positive way. So it pays to step out of your comfort zone and let your inner goddess shine.

When people ask me how is that I pose curvy women, I always say I work with people’s insecurities not their body types. During the booking process I will ask you what makes you feel comfortable, what things you want me to highlight or hide and then I will pose you accordingly. Some people don’t like their feet, some others don’t like their arms, or even one side of their face. Whatever it is I will work with those and make you look your best, having photographed hundreds of women I know we are all different and all of us have insecurities regardless of our body type.

The most important thing to me is to create beautiful images you will love and to make you feel comfortable during your shoot because the more comfortable you are the better the pictures are going to come out. Trust the process, follow my directions and you will see how you will end your session with a big smile on your face.

One thing to keep in mind though is that a boudoir shoot is a little demanding physically, not like a full workout but feels almost like a yoga session. I will be asking you to move muscles you probably don’t move very often (arching your back, pointing your toes, etc) and then you will have to hold the pose for a few seconds and repeat that several times, so it’s highly possible you’ll be a little sore the next day, not terrible but it’s defenelty not a relaxing day at the spa! But no worries, even if you have physical constraints we’ll work together to create amazing images, I have plenty of experience working with women of all body types, ages and sizes.
